Rumor: New Re-Tweaked iPad For End 2012 Release
There is a new iPad coming our way. However, before you start jumping with joy, its not going to be a whole new device like an iPad 4. Rather, its going to be the same iPad 3 but with enough modifications introduced to ensure people fall in love with it all over again. Here is some more caution, all of this is a rumor and Apple hasn’t confirmed a word of it. However, for solace, Digitimes is claiming that’s the way its going to be with the iPad in future.
So its a sleeker iPad 3 that is thinner and lighter than the current version would see the light of day. The camera hole at the back panel is also bigger this time to allow for a higher aperture camera to be fitted in it. Sources also point out Apple is bringing about some changes to the battery pack in the iPad 3 which, it is believed will take care of the tablet getting over heated.
All of these information have been sourced from a Taiwanese tech journal who in turn have got it from those those involved in the actual manufacturing process.
The iPad 3 was released towards mid-March this year and boasted of a superb retina display among other niceties. However, to support that many pixels, a bigger battery was called for which in turn added to the weight and thickness. Now with that being taken care of, it would be nice to have the iPad 3 back being slim and light. A new iPad seems least likely with the current gen device already so fresh, nor is the chances of sacrificing pixel count to allow for a less capable battery unit.
However, all of the above are speculations and things could turn any direction in the coming days. In any case, its towards the holiday season that the new iPad is expected to arrive, it it at all does. That way again, it could hamper the usual yearly cycle of Apple launching a new iteration of iPad during the March-April period.
Needless to say its all pretty confusing right now and an official declaration might not be available soon.
